01 · Audience

Who we're talking to

The shops you sell into, and the one viewer this video has to crack.

The organization
Residential HVAC dealers running Service Titan, $3M to $15M in revenue.

HVAC first, plumbing and electrical second and third. They bought Service Titan and got a blank price book with it. They already know the system is powerful and they already know theirs is a mess. What they have never seen is what it looks like when it is set up right.

Who the video has to win
The cold dealer who has never heard of you.

He owns the shop and signs for it. Every lead so far has arrived warm through JB Warranties, already sitting in a friendly demo with someone walking them through it. This video has to do that same job with a stranger on a phone who does not know productized price book setup exists, has no reason to trust you, and gives you a few seconds to prove otherwise. Crack him and the rest of the funnel has something to work with.

And it has to survive the forward.

He rarely decides alone. The GM or service manager will judge whether it makes the team consistent, and the techs will judge whether it looks like one more system to learn. Credible to a manager who knows Service Titan cold, plain enough that a dealer sees the revenue case in one watch, simple enough on screen that nobody braces.

One asset the whole shop can get behind.
02 · Considerations

What your buyers are actually dealing with

The full picture your buyers live with, and where the video can hit hardest.

Service Titan hands them a blank price book.

The most powerful system in the trades arrives as an empty shell, and building it out is not what trades guys are good at. Most implementations stall right here.

Bids take days when they should take minutes.

A typical shop closes about 20% of bids on site, with the rest landing two or three days later. By then the customer has cooled off or called someone else.

Margin leaks and nobody can find the hole.

Tiers overlap, pricing drifts, and gold systems quietly end up cheaper than silver. The shop never quite knows where the margin actually went.

What gets sold never makes it to the back office.

When equipment is not on the invoice, ordering has to chase down what was sold. Receiving and job staging break behind it, every single time.

The pitch is in a language the customer doesn't speak.

SEER ratings and HSPF numbers land on a homeowner who nods politely and understands none of it. The sale gets harder for no good reason.

What we'd anchor on

Your own tagline: the price book is a strategic asset, not a list of prices. Every consideration here traces back to it, and you already have proof it lands. During the JB demos, roughly 60% of viewers stopped you mid-walkthrough to ask what that was and how to buy it. That reaction is what the video needs to manufacture at scale.

The rest become supporting beats, or the basis for a second asset later.
03 · Message hierarchy

What they walk away understanding

The viewer's takeaways and how the messaging is digested, in order of priority.

Your price book is an asset or a liability.

The single idea. Most dealers have never considered that the list they maintain is the same thing deciding whether their techs close.

If they remember nothing else, they remember this.
A three-option bid, on site, in minutes.

Good, Better, Best built from the system selected, with install scope, membership, warranty, and equipment pairings already attached. Shown in the real Service Titan mobile views.

Built while you're still in the driveway.
Switch brands without retraining anyone.

The construct is manufacturer agnostic. One dealer moved from American Standard to Amana without a single training class, because the team learned EquipmentPro, not a brand.

The differentiator nobody expects.
Close more deals at a higher price.

Your words on the call. Structure turns good salespeople into great ones, holds target margin on every bid, and keeps the downstream clean.

How the shop's week and its margin both improve.
Built by someone who made the mistakes already.

Sixteen years owning a heating and air company, COO of a 50-office franchise group, twelve years in Service Titan. Setup that used to take a week now takes about three hours.

You don't have to learn this the expensive way.
Book the conversation.

One action at the end: get on a call and see it run against their own price book. Not a generic learn more.

04 · Outcomes

Why this does the work

Your pipeline stops depending on one relationship.

JB Warranties has carried lead generation so far, and as you put it, that's a business protection question. This is the asset that lets you open a second channel without needing an introduction first.

The ad spend gets something worth landing on.

You already know what the missing piece is: the visual that makes someone stop and say they want that. It happened live in the JB demos. Without it, new channels move traffic without moving anyone to book.

Make the call to action a no-brainer
Problem set clearly up front

For a cold, category-unaware audience, a first-timer needs orienting before anything else.

Sophisticated, clean, credible tone

Enterprise sophistication that belongs in front of a serious operator, but never a boring watch. Modern, on-brand visuals with direct, punchy verbiage.

Exact language comes in the script

Words, pacing, and on-screen messaging get locked in Step 1: Scripting. This document is the direction and high-level thinking.

Your real product, brought to life

01
We recreate your Service Titan screens cleanly.

The mobile estimate flow rebuilt and animated element by element, not screen-recorded.

02
The screens in the video get rebuilt.

03
You keep the project files.

So future cuts and scene pulls don't start from scratch.

About an hour of your time for the whole project. Review the script, review the storyboard, review the final cut. We handle everything in between.

On what to show: our read is to build around the moment that already worked in the JB demos, the three-option bid coming together fast with equipment attached. The plain-English descriptions and the downstream purchase order are strong supporting beats, but they are the second thing a cold viewer needs, not the first.

Discovery & Overview

Prepared for prepad.io by Creative Clout. The thinking behind a video that earns understanding in seconds & gets buy-in.

prepad.ioJuly 2026Creative Clout
01 · Audience

Who we're talking to

Our read on who the video has to resonate with inside these companies.

The organization
E&P companies running drilling and completions programs

Whether planning a single pad or managing hundreds of billions in capital spend, the work is still being done in spreadsheets today. They need to see there's finally a better instrument for it.

Who the video has to win
1The completions engineer who becomes your champion

The one who finds you, books the demo, and immediately gets it, because they're the one living the manual grind. Then they re-pitch it to people who weren't on the call. The video carries it for them.

2The VPs and asset managers who green-light it

The stakeholders who won't ever open the software but have to green-light it. They need the pitch in plain terms: what changes, and why it's impactful to the organization.

3Finance & boardroom

While they may not be evaluating the workflow, they're evaluating the number. They need confidence that a cost estimate is defensible before capital gets committed against it.

Designed to resonate with all of them

Never overcomplicating the pitch with technical jargon. Not dumbed down: technical enough to be credible to the engineer, plain enough that a VP can repeat it, and clear enough that finance sees the ROI.

An asset the whole organization can get behind.
02 · Considerations

What your buyers are actually dealing with

The number isn't reliable.

A spreadsheet produces a figure, not a prediction. Nobody knows how far off it is until the program is underway.

Hundreds of billions ride on it.

The bigger the capital program, the more expensive a small percentage error becomes.

Engineers lose time to manual grind.

Time spent building and rebuilding models is time not spent on the actual engineering decision.

The alternatives never get tested.

Changing one design assumption means rebuilding the model, so most scenarios go unrun. The team commits to the first plan that looked reasonable.

Surprises surface during execution.

Cost and cycle time problems show up once the program is underway, when the options are gone and every fix is expensive.

The Anchor

The cost estimate itself. Every other consideration here traces back to not trusting that number, making it the strongest single idea to build the script and 60-second video around.

The rest become supporting beats where / if they fit the video.
03 · Message hierarchy

What they understand after watching

The viewer's takeaways and how the messaging is digested, in order of priority.

The single idea: clarity

Using spreadsheets is guesswork, and it exposes risk and cost.

That's simply the old, inefficient way of doing things.
The solution, and what it looks like in practice

The real UI brought to life, showing them they don't have to be back-calculating from a static estimate.

There's a better way of doing things. Here's what modern looks like for capital spend management.
The transformation and payoff

A bold claim or quick case study results.

How their life and business improve with prepad.io.
Why it's credible

A quick punchline around: 'built by engineers who did this exact job' or 'backed by Devon Energy and Chevron's Catalyst Program.'

Not a gimmick vendor - The industry already vetted these guys
A clear next step

By the end of the video, the viewer is pointed to one clear call to action.

Book a call | Contact Us | Get Started etc.
04 · Outcomes

Why this pulls weight

Fewer "what do you guys do?" conversations.

The video educates and intrigues prospects so they show up already understanding. Calls with your team aren't purely exploration and discovery: less time answering the same questions, more time on implementation and next steps.

It sells when you're not in the room.

An evergreen asset pulling people into your buyer journey across every platform, placement, and touchpoint, without your team present.

Your real product, brought to life on screen. No raw screenshots like the ones live on your site today.

The screens in the video get rebuilt.

Which will likely cover a solid chunk of your key views.

A couple of extra set assets if you want them.

If there are screens you'd want for your site that don't make the final cut, we're glad to flesh those out.
