Creative Clout
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Creative Clout collects when you visit creative-clout.com or work with us, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.
Who we are
Creative Clout is a business-to-business video production agency operating as Player Owner LLC. We produce explainer videos and related marketing assets for software companies. This policy covers creative-clout.com and our direct dealings with prospective and current clients.
For the purposes of the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation, Player Owner LLC is the data controller for the information described here.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you book a discovery call, submit a form, or email us, we collect your name, email address, company name, and anything else you choose to tell us about your business and your project.
Information we collect automatically
When you visit creative-clout.com, we and our service providers collect standard technical data: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, time on page, and similar analytics. This is collected through cookies and comparable technologies.
Information from clients during a project
To produce work for a client we may receive product access, brand materials, internal documentation, and similar business information. We treat this as confidential and use it only to deliver the engagement.
How we use it
- To respond to inquiries and schedule calls.
- To prepare for and deliver client projects.
- To send project updates, invoices, and contracts.
- To measure and improve the performance of our website and advertising.
- To meet legal, accounting, and tax obligations.
Where GDPR applies, our lawful bases are: performance of a contract, our legitimate interest in operating and marketing the business, your consent for non-essential cookies and marketing email, and compliance with legal obligations.
Advertising and measurement
We advertise on Meta platforms. Our site uses the Meta Pixel, and we also send conversion events to Meta from our own systems through the Conversions API. This means that when you take certain actions, such as booking a discovery call, we may share a hashed version of information like your email address with Meta so it can match the event to an ad and report on performance.
We do not sell your personal information. We use this data to measure advertising results, not to build profiles for resale. You can limit ad tracking through your Meta account settings and through your browser or device controls.
Booking a call
Discovery calls are scheduled through a third-party booking provider. When you book, the provider collects your name, email address, and selected time, and passes those details to us and to our confirmation page so we can prepare for the call. The provider processes this information under its own privacy policy.
Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the site to function, plus analytics and advertising cookies that help us understand traffic and measure campaigns. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking non-essential cookies will not prevent you from using the site.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, and only as far as they need it. These include our website host and content delivery network, our email and calendar provider, our scheduling provider, our advertising platforms, our analytics provider, and our accounting and payment processors.
We may also disclose information where required by law, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising outside the measurement described above.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry and prospect information for up to two years from our last contact. Client project records and the documents we are legally required to retain, such as contracts and invoices, are kept for seven years. Website analytics data is retained according to the settings of the provider that collects it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, receive a portable copy, and withdraw consent you previously gave. Residents of California and other US states with comparable laws have similar rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.
To make a request, email matt@creativeclout.co. We will respond within the timeframe required by the law that applies to you. If you are in the UK or EU and are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to your local supervisory authority.
International transfers
We operate from the United States, and our service providers are primarily US-based. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard for those transfers.
Security
We use access controls, encrypted connections, and reputable vendors to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
